Nova Scotia Service Dog Laws
SYNOPSIS
- The different Acts define “blind person” and “guide dog”
- The Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination
- The Nova Scotia Service Dog Act defines Service Dogs and the Regulations are similar to BC.
- Although you can have your dog certified by the Province, it is no longer required and the Human Rights Act protects you regardless of whether or not your dog is government certified.
